The Legacy Fund at Lowell Catholic is the primary vehicle by which alumni, parents and friends help to finance the school’s operating budget, which far exceeds the revenues generated by tuition. Lowell Catholic delivers an excellent education at a significantly lower cost-per-pupil than our public school counterparts. Nonetheless these costs are rising. Consider that: -Expensive technology and state-of-the-art computer facilities are a standard feature at LCHS. -Although rich in history, our facility has become more and more costly to maintain. -Modern science and math education demands increasingly expensive laboratory equipment and supplies. -While the cost of fielding athletic programs escalates, LCHS remains committed to a diversified sports program for girls and boys in which all students can take pride. -To attract and retain a first rate faculty, LCHS must strive to offer competitive salaries. If we ask students and parents to bear the full weight of these costs in the form of tuition and fees, a Lowell Catholic education will become unaffordable to more and more families. Through their generosity, alumni, parents, and friends have an opportunity to allow Lowell Catholic to achieve its mission of providing students an excellent and affordable college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition.
