Lowell Catholic prides itself on academic excellence. Our students excel in a faith-based environment that educates them with the appropriate values needed for intelligent and wholesome living; enables them to acquire the skills required for success in advanced studies; and challenges them to think and to act in such a manner as to enjoy life and to help make life enjoyable for their families and friends.

Recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Education and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Lowell Catholic continually strives to raise its standards of excellence. In order to recognize students who excel academically, several honors (based on a 4.0 GPA system) have been established:

Academic Honors
Principal's List   Students who receive no grade below 90
High Honors      Students who receive no grade below 87
Honors              Students who receive no grade below 80

Academic excellence is also recognized via a Student of the Month program, membership in the National Honor Society,  quarterly Honor Roll breakfasts, the presentation of Academic Gold Cords and the Valedictorian / Salutatorian at commencement, underclass award ceremony, and annual senior award banquet.

At Lowell Catholic High School, we recognize the value of small class sizes and the importance of the teacher / student relationship. We offer a 14 to 1 student / teacher ratio and an average of 18 students per classroom. This gives our faculty the ability to provide students the individual attention they deserve.

The faculty and administrative staff at Lowell Catholic High School consist of more than 35 men and women dedicated to Catholic education. Their strong belief in professionalism is evident as all of the faculty members hold a Bachelor degree, 55% have a Master degree, and 4 staff members hold additional Master and/or Doctorate degrees. The faculty at Lowell Catholic High School has an average of 12 years teaching experience. They have dedicated their lives to preparing tomorrow's leaders with the knowledge, moral character, and faith in God that is essential to lifelong success.
