HSPT Preparatory Classes

Prepare for the upcoming High School Placement Test this fall!

Review material, discover best practices for test taking and learn effective standardized testing strategies.

Math Sessions
This preparation class introduces eighth graders to mathematical topics and test taking skills that are seen on the High School Placement Test. This class will cover general test taking strategies, specific information for the HSPT exam format, and mathematical skills. The class will be made up of six sessions and each session will be one hour in length. In this time, students will cover the above topics as well as completing practice questions that are similar to the ones seen on the exam.

October 3, 17, 24, 31

English Sessions
This preparation class introduces eighth graders to English topics and test taking skills that are seen on the High School Placement Test. This class will cover general test taking strategies, specific information for the HSPT exam format, and verbal, reading comprehension and language arts skills. The class will be made up of six sessions and each session will be one hour in length. In this time, students will cover the above topics as well as completing practice questions that are similar to the ones seen on the exam.
